As an educator, Sam believes strongly in the importance of emphasizing process over product and seeks to unlock the artistic potential in all of her students by incorporating improvisation and creative movement exercises into all of her classes.
Through her roles as a French Immersion Teacher as well as Workshop Coordinator for a non-profit dance organization in Prince George, Sam recognized the need for accessible, high-quality performing arts opportunities here in Northern BC. Drawing on her professional experiences, network of connections, and community feedback, she is committed to strengthening the region's performing arts landscape and creating meaningful opportunities for local dancers. And so, WeMove was born!

McKenna bebee
Instructor - Musical TheatreOriginally from Ottawa, Ontario, McKenna has been dancing since the age of four. She began her training at a classical ballet studio, where she danced to live piano accompaniment, developing a strong technical foundation and appreciation for musicality and artistry.
At age 10, she transitioned into more intensive ballet training under the direction of Maki Kabayama, former company dancer with The National Ballet of Canada. During this time, she continued to expand her dance education, training and competing in jazz, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, and musical theatre until age seventeen.
While she enjoyed exploring a variety of dance styles, musical theatre quickly became her passion and strongest discipline. She excelled in the genre throughout her competitive years, performing numerous solo and duet pieces and developing a love for storytelling through movement that continues today.
In 2023, McKenna relocated to Quesnel, BC, where she is excited to continue sharing her passion for dance with the local community. She has previously taught musical theatre and is thrilled to continue teaching at We Move Dance Co.
Outside of the studio, McKenna works as a psychotherapist, bringing a unique perspective to her classes. She loves helping dancers connect with the emotions behind their performances, using acting, storytelling, and character development to bring choreography to life. By encouraging students to explore authentic expression, she helps them build confidence both on stage and beyond.
McKenna is passionate about creating a supportive and engaging classroom environment where dancers can grow as artists, performers, and individuals, and she looks forward to inspiring the next generation of performers.
